DRAIN MAINTENANCE.
RELIEF LABOUR WAGES! Drain maintenance and improvements expenditure bv the Manawatu Drainage Board during the year ended March 31 totalled £5926 9s 4d, including £3793 7s Id in relief work wages cha.rged to the Unemployment Board, it was reported to the monthly meeting yesterday afternoon. Relief work wages paid in the preceding year amounted to £9375 18s 3d, for the 1933-34 period to £7893 10s 3d, and for the 1932-33 period to £12,018 5s 6d. -
