In the House of Commons, asked if he would encourage the establishment of New Zealand’s Fail-bridge Farm School, Mr Malcolm MacDonald (Secretary for the Dominions) told Mr J. A. L. Duncan (Con.) that if the New Zealand Government supported the project, and Britain was asked to contribute to the cost, it would carefully consider the application. Questioned as to Hon. M. J. Savage's statement that the New Zealand Government would he “more than sympathetic” to a scheme of planned immigration, Mr MacDonald said he was awaiting a full report on the matter. The Overseas Settlement Board, which was meeting regularly, was examining the subject with a view to laying plans. He would submit Mr Savage’s statement to the board. Mr P. J. H.
