WERAROA ESCAPEES.
MISSING CAR RECOVERED. Two escapees from the Weraroa Training Farm, who were found to he absent on Monday night, were taken into custody at Havelock Jast evening by the Hastings police. Late on Monday night a young man employed by Mr T. D. Lynch, at Linton, heard sounds which caused him to make investigations and he found an intruder between the house and the car shed who immediately made off. On Tuesday morning it was discovered that a new car owned by Airs S. Irvine, a neighbour, -had been removed. A bowser was tampered with at Ashhurst yesterday and petrol removed, tha.t action leading the police to take steps which resulted in the capture of the youths at Havelock by Constable Heffernan. The absconders were in possession of the missing car.
