THE AUCKLAND MEETING. TRAINING OPERATIONS. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 7. Emancipation was scratched for the Brighton Hurdles at 10.14 a.m. and Nun Nicer for the President s Handicap at 10.20. .„ Owing to a ground fog, some difficulty was experienced in timing the horses early, but it cleared about 7 o’clock and perfect weather conditions prevailed afterwards. The bulk of the fast work was done on the course proper, on which the poles were out sft, and the No. 3 grass and sand tracks were also in use. Several good efforts were recorded, including those of Rereatu, Nun Nicer Epris and Kilbens, while Wagner and Quadroon also shaped well over half a mile on the course proper. Shy and Persian Lady did seven furlongs in 1.34 1-5. , Gay Broney was going nicely beside Hohana over six furlongs in 1 22 2-5. He jumped the first two safely, but fell at the last.
