PERSONAL.
In the House of Representatives yesterday Mr J. B. F. Cotterill, M.P. for Wanganui, was granted three day’s leave of absence on account of the death of his brother. Air C. J. B. Norwood, who was involved in a motor accident over a week ago and is still in liispital in Christchurch, is recovering as rapidly as'can be expected. He is not expected to return to Wellington until after Easter.
The death last week, at the age of 94, of Air Percival Clay Neill, who was formerly one of the most notable figures in the business and civic life of Dunedin, removed one of the founders of the commercial prosperity which the city has enjoyed since the 'sixties of last century (says the Otago Daily Times). He retained until a few years before his death a position of- active leadership in the business life of the community, and in consequence was one of the most widely-known, residents of the province, commanding esteem for the part which he had played in the development of the Dominion during a long and useful life.
