Union’s annual meeting. On Tuesday evoning the Bunnythorpc Public Ilall was crowded by residents who gathered to bid farewell to Mr and Mrs G. Duthie, who have removed to Fcilding. The function was organised by J those associated with the clubs of Bunnytlicrpo and items were rendered by Airs I Cameron, Miss Cooniber and Air Wood, of Fcilding. Dancing was indulged in, the music being supplied bv Alessrs R. C. Powell, A. E. Hyde and’ll. Hooper. Air O. Jackson, who acted as chairman of the committee, referred to the guests of the evening who had taken a keen interest. in every movement in the district. Airs Duthie was a member of the Alethodist Church Ladies’ and the Women's Institute, and Mr Duthie was a member of the School Committee, besides being associated with tennis, football, and cricket clubs. All- J''. AloKenzic spoke on behalf of the School Committee and Sports Club, ATr E. Clevcly on behalf of the Football Club, and Air Jackson also on behalf of the Tennis Club. Mr J. Link'later, a keen supporter of every movement in Biuinytliorpe, was called on to say a few words and to make a presentation to the guests. In doing so Air Linklatcr referred to Air Dutbie’s father as a keen member of the School Committee and other movements, and his son had followed in his footsteps. No matter the functions he iiad attended lie always found Air and Airs Duthie taking an found Air and AJis Duthie taking an active part, and now that they where leaving the district the different clubs and citizens had decided lo show in some small way their gratitude.
