ADDINGTON- SALE. l\n- Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, March 18. Entries in tire store sheep section at the Addington market to-day were the hoariest for a number of years, approximating 30.000 ewes and 9000 lambs. With fat sheep and fat lambs included, the total, penning of sheep was approximately 40,500 head. * . . Store lambs.—About 9000 were yarded, mostly back-country and unattractive. There was an easing of Is od for carryover sorts, but very ordinary ewes sold extremely well, with no easing. 1 , . Best wethers made from 27s to 325; prime medium weights, 23s to 265; best ewes, 22s to 28s; prime medium weights, 18s to 21s. Fat cattle.—43s head wore penned, the bulk being ordinary sorts. Good steers made from £ll to £l3, and prime medium weight from £8 15s to £10; good heifers from £7 10s to £9 12s 6d. and best cows from £7 to £8 10s, Values per 1001 b were from 26s to 29s for best beef, and from 23s to 25s for ordinary. Fat pigs.—There was a heavier entry pf porkers and an easier market, baconors selling slightly bettor as a result _ of the smaller entry and the competition of exporters. Baconors made from 5d to sid a lb, and porkers, from sjd to 6d. JOHNSONVILLE VALUES. An average yarding of all classes _of stock came forward at the Johnscnvillo stock sale hold yesterday by Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd. Tnc mil locks yarded were of mixed quality and sold at late rates. Cows and heifers came forward in the usual numbers and sold at prices showing no alteration. Vcalors sold well at last week's prices Tho yarding of ewes and- wethers was up to the usual standard, and a good sale resulted, with prices being at par. There was a large of iambs, only good heavyweights being wanted. These sold well at late rates.

HASTINGS, March 18. , There was a fairly heavy yarding of fat cattle at Stortford Lodge yesterday, when values dropped back to the level of a fortnight ago. A big percentage of the yarding constituted unfinished sorts. Prune bullocks were in short supply and made to £l2 2s, medium to £lO 15s; prime heavy cows made £B, medium £7 to £7 ss, others £4 10s to £6 10s; heifers, medium weights, prime to £8 10s. Store cattle: A yarding of 1200. Three-year well grown steers made to £8 15s. Values generally for useful lines were on a par with recent sales. There was a good inquiry for cows with calves at foot which made to £B. A moderate yardin"- ’of store sheep, including several largo pens of forward wethers, which made to 24s Bd, came forward; well-grown attractive lines of two-tooth ewes made to 51s bd. Values for lambs were generally easier. Fat sheep prices rose sharply, up to 2s otl, prime ewes making 19s and medium-weight lambs 225.
