SPONGE CAKE RECIPE 3 eggs, 1 cup flour (level), j) cup sugar, 3 tablespoons milk, 1 tablespoon butter, 5 teaspoon baking soda (level), I teaspoon cream tartar. METHOD; Beat sugar and eggs till thiok and creamy. Fold in sifted flour and cl-oam of tartar. Finally- add milk and butter which have been heated to-gellier-i—with tho soda. Bake in moderate" oven in tins which have been greased and lightly floured. ICING: Ono tablespoon butter (melted), 4 cup icing sugar, sufficient water to mix to stiff paste.
