STOCK MARKET.
LEVIN SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Hitd., report that yesterday’s sale at Levin was brisk. There was an average yarding of sheep and cattle, and a large yarding of pigs. A good attendance of buyers was present. The following is the range of prices:—
Pigs.—Choppers, 36s to £2 11s; porkers, 30s to 40s; light baconers, £2 2s to £2 6s; stores, 14s to 17s; weaners, 6s to 11s. Sheep: Fat wethers, 255; store wethers, 21s Cd; small lambs, 13s 2d to 15s Gel; cull lambs, 9s 3d; aged ewes, 22s 6d ; cull 2-th ewes, 225; fat lambs, 235; S.D. rams, 23gns. Cattle: Store cows, 31s to £2 16s; fat cows, £3 17s 6d to £5 7s 6d; heifers, r.w.b., £2 16s; weaner heifers, 255; potter bulls, £2 12s 6d to £3 10s; runners, £2 14s to £3 2s Cd.
