BOWLING.
Very large entries are anticipated for the Easter tournament of the Manawatu Bowling Centre. To assist in accommodating the competing rinks the Northern Club is to place two greens at the disposal of the centre, elaying for a period the usual treatment of the surfaces. Fourteen rinks from various clubs in the Manawatu Bowding Centre took part in a rinks tourney at the Terrace End Bonding Club on Saturday. Three games of nine heads each were played, and Monks (Taka.ro) and Trueman (Foxton) each won three games. In the play-off Trueman won by 11 points to 6.- The following were the results, skips only being mentioned : Monks (Takaro), 3 w*ins; Trueman (Foxton), 3 wins; Johnson (Terrace End), 2 wins, 1 loss; Pearce (Terrace End), 2 wins, 1 loss; Lawson (Terrace End), 2 wins, 1 loss; Movdem (Palmerston North), 2 wins, 1 loss : Inglis (Manawatu), 2 wins, 1 loss; Snell (Terrace End), 2 w*ins, 1 loss; Corbridge (Manawatu), I win, 2 losses: Anderson (Terrace End), 1 win, 2 losses; Northover (Palmerston North). 1 win, 2 loisses; Smith (Terrace End). 1 win, 2 losses; Smith (Takaro), 3 losses; Wenham (Feilding), 3 losses.
