BREAD CONTRACTS.
(To the Editor.) Sir.—Having noticed a report of a local master baker to the Palmerston North Hospital Board, I would like to mention that there has been no increase in wages and no shorter hours as yet, for the operative baker. There has been for a considerable time now a decrease in wages and longer working hours, which have helped to supply these institutions at a cut rate, arid also cause unemployment to the skilled worker.—l am. etc., OPERATIVE BAKER.
