EVIDENCE CONTINU ED. SYDNEY, Feb. 12. When the hearing of charges of conspiracy to defraud against John Ellis Findlay, Ernest Pierce Coombs, Charles Richard Tanser and William Campbell was resumed, Daisy Newton, in evidence, said she bought shares in the Chargol Syndicate as tlie result of representations by Campbell and Makin. Sub-Inspector J. Carroll, New Zealand, in evidence, said that Campbell. and his wife were arrested in New Zealand in February, 1935, and were later returned to Australia. Replying to Campbell, witness said that Harding, a" man in New Zealand, told liim he had paid Findlay £9O under instructions from Campbell. The case was adjourned.
