REGISTERED NURSES.
AIANAAVATU BRANCH
The Alauawatu branch of the Registered Nurses’ Association met in the Plunket rooms on Tuesday for the first time this year. Aliss M. AlcLagan presided, also present being Alisses J. N. AlcGhie, Flower, C. Me Kenny (Paluatua), Allen, AI. A. Henderson, C. Henderson, Madden, and Aliss J. Burnett. There were apologies for absence from Airs Dalgleish and Alisses Kearns and Halpin. Aliss AlcLagan welcomed Aliss AlcG'lic and Aliss blower as new members of the council, and six new members were elected. Members stood in silence as a mark of respect to the late King George. Aliss Banks tendered her resignation from the council in view of making a holiday trip to England at an early date. AVliile regretting that the association was losing a valuable member for a year, the council wished her a happy journey and safe return and hoped to welcome her back to the council at some future date. Miss Wright, matron of the Old People’s Home, was elected to the council to fill the vacancy. A general meeting is to he held in March to deal with remits for the annual conference to be held in Christchurch early ill April.
