SUBJECT OF CONNECTIONS. REQUEST FROM AUCKLAND. Information concerning the time available for train passengers '' nect with the services conducted by Union Airways, .Leu.,, aiou u~ - tance of Milson aerodrome from the Palmerston Nortli station was sougni. from the Palmerston North Chamber of Commerce, yesterday afternoon, in a letter from the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, which stated that it was desirable that as wide a gap as possible be maintained between the departures of the Union Airways machines and those to be operated by Pacific Airways, Ltd. Mr H. B. Free stated that the present schedule for the departure of air-liners from Palmerston North was quite satisfactory, allowing a sufficient margin for delays in winter weather before darkness. He suggested that the request made to the chamber be examined by a sub-com-mittee. i y General satisfaction was expressed at the timetable at present being operated by Union Airways, Ltd., and it was decided to inform the Auckland Chamber that the position was eminently satisfactory at present, as it worked in well with train connections.
