THE LONDON SALES. Dalgety and Cov., Ltd., report on the London wool market Sales continue with good spirit except for old, shabby crossbreds; 50’s and below, jd lower. No sales will bo held on January 27 and 28. Sales close January 30. Wright, Stephenson and Coy., Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report having received cable advice from their London house reading as follows: —The sales continued before an average attendance of buyers and the market remains unchanged; if anything a little firmer. Competition is animated. Continental and Bradford buyers are tho chief operators. Wo quote the following average realisations: —Merino 60-64 yielding 48 per cent., 12gd. Fine halfbred 56-58 yielding 62 per cent., 14id. Ifalfbred, 50-56. yielding 68 per cent, lid. Threc-quar-terbred 48-50-yielding 74 per cent., 9d. Fine crossbred 46-48 yielding 75 per cent.. Bjd. Medium crossbred 44-46 yielding 75 per cent., BJd. Crossbred 40-44 yielding 76 per cent., Bd. Coarse crossbred 36-40 yielding 76 per cent., Bd. Crossbred lambs 46-50 yielding 74 per cent. IOJd. Slipcd prices are 5 per cent, to 7i per cent, higher. The -salon will be cancelled on Mondatt and Tuesday next and will close on January 30. SYDNEY SALES. _ VALUES UNCHANGED. SYDNEY, Jan. 23. At the wool sales, 17,787 bales were offered. 15,710 being sold at auction, also 1741 privately. Competition was keen and values unchanged. Greasy . Merino made to 28|d.
