MILITARY PACT.
JAPAN AND GERMANY. REPORT IN LONDON. LONDON, Jan. 20. The Morning Post’s Berlin correspondent says that it is stated in wellinformed political circles that a military agreement between Germany and Japan was signed at Tokio on January 4 under which, in the event of either being attacked, the other- is pledged to come to its assistance. It need hardly be said that Russia is the aggressor contemplated. JOINT DENIALS. Received January 21, 9.30 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 20. It is officially denied in Tokio and Berlin that Germany and Japan have concluded a military alliance.
