LORRY TRAGEDY.
"WORKMAN KILLED. Per Press Association. GREY MOUTH, Jan. 19. Ronald Furness Sinclair, aged 24, single, a labourer, of Grey mouth, was killed instantly late on Saturday night when lie was crushed under a heavily laden lorry, which capsized oyer a bank at a bend oil the main highway between Totara Flat and Raupo. Sinclair had just secured a position with E. Shirley, contractor, or Hokitika, the owner of the lorry, and was proceeding to a job at ltaupo when he was killed. 'The driver of the lorry. Arthur Hepburn, of Hokitika, was seriously injured. Three other men, Kenneth Allen, Ronald Grafton and Ernest Shackleton, escaped? serious injury. Owing to the weight of the lorry and the load it was several hours before the victim was extricated.
