Received December 11, 2.20 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 10. A Royal Air Force machine, when making a cross-country flight, crashed into the River Humber near Brough, killing th 9 sole occupant.

FRENCH FLIERS’ ESCAPE. Received December 11, 2.25 p.m. PARIS, Dec. 10. A French Air Force machine, while flying to Paris from'Marseilles, made a forced landing in bad weather at Auxerre. The four passengers and two of the crew scrambled out unhurt. The machine soon afterwards caught fire and was destroyed.
