SHIPMENTS OF EGGS.
With the loading by the motor ship Rangitane of 1017 crates of eggs, each crate containing 30 dozen, Auckland's brief egg exporting season commenced this week. Three other shipments will be dispatched to London from Auckland, the Mataroa being scheduled to take 790 crates, the Middlesex 1100 and.the Akaroa an indeterminate number, dependent on how much space is available, making a total in all of about 3000 crates, in which the number of eggs will amount to 1,080,000.
