A young man, George Fowler, of Onewliero. appeared in the Pukekone Court before J.P.’s charged with smoking in a dance hall at Pn«ekolie, an act contrary to the borough by-laws. : The fire inspector, Mr N. L. Brown, j stated that a fire brigade dance was' being held in the hall at the time.
