SMOKING IN HALL.
PUKEKOHE CASE DISMISSED. PUKEKOHE, Sept. 26. A young man, George Fowler, of Onewliero. appeared in the Pukekone Court before J.P.’s charged with smoking in a dance hall at Pn«ekolie, an act contrary to the borough by-laws. : The fire inspector, Mr N. L. Brown, j stated that a fire brigade dance was' being held in the hall at the time. I Early in the evening lie saw defend-j ant smoking in the hall and ho warn-! ed him, but twice later in the evening the defendant repeated the offence. On the last occasion defendant had : gone into the dressing room and fie a ' cigarette, but later walked into the hall. , The Bench: You allowed smoking in the dressing rooms but not in the halls? jl .
