B.M.A. CONGRESS.
ORGANISATION PRAISED. DR MONRO’S RETURN. Praise for the organisation of the. B.M.A. Congress at Melbourne, and the hospitality shown to New Zealand and other visiting delegates, was expressed to a “Standard” reporter, today, by Dr J. S. Monro, who has returned to Palmerston North with Mrs Monro after attending the convention. He stated that the programme was an exceptionally busy one, consisting of a round of lectures and operation demonstrations by eminent surgeons. He had the opportnity of visiting the Melbourne Hospital, where there are private paying patients, and the eye, ear, and throat hospital. Melbourne was found by Dr Monro to be a beautiful and attractive city, with delightful botanical gardens. The shops were good, and crowded during business hours, he said.
