HOROWHENUA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI, Sept,. 25. The Otaki health camp will close on Monday tor one month to enable the buildings, etc., to have a thorough overhaul. At present there arc some forty children at the camp, all doing remarkably well. A miniature doll’s house, similar to that owned by Princess Elizabeth, has been presented to tho children at the camp by children of Northland. Some 336 children have received benefit through the activities of tho camp. Unemployed workers arc at present doing good work, and plantations of trees will add to the; beauty ol the grounds. Miss Eflio Fear, of Nelson, is spending a holiday in Otaki as tho guest of Mrs J. Bailey. Mrs C. B. Smyth left this morning for l’ahiatua where her sister is seriously ill. Mr and Mrs J. Pilcher, who have been residents of Otaki for some time, during which they have - rnado many friends, will leave for Invercargill cn Saturday. Mr and Mrs \V. Lithgow, who have been residents of Otaki for the past three years, leave on Saturday to take up their residence in Auckland, where tho former has accepted a position.
