WAIHI HOSPITAL.
PROBLEM OF STAFFING. LACK OF APPLICATIONS. Per Press Association. WAIHI, Sept. 25. The possibility that influence brought to bear by the British Medical Association bad resulted in lack of applications for the positions on the. medical and nursing staffs of the Waihi Hospital, with the result that the institution was left with a skeleton staff, was suggested at a special meeting of the Waihi Hospital Board last evening. Reference was made to advertisements asking doctors to communicate with the secretary of the 8.M.A., Wellington, before making application. The board decided to send a letter to the association asking the reasons for its action. The letter outlined the position in regard to the recent resignations and promised to supply any information required so that the whole matter could be settled.
