IMPEEST SUPPLY BILL PASSED
BROADCASTING POLICY CRITICISED An Imprest Supply Bill, containing authority for the expenditure of £4,954,000, and representing two months’ financial provision, was granted urgency and passed through all stages in the House of Representatives last night. The opportunity Avas taken by members of the Opposition to launch an attack on the policy of the Broadcasting Board, with particular reference to the ban on political speeches being broadcast.
Eeplies to a number of questions were given by Ministers, and several Bills, including the annual taxing measure, made their appearance.
