The success achieved by the St. Patrick's Football Club during the past season Oil the field will be evidenced in their annual ball, which is being held in the De Luxe Hall, George Street, this evening. In addition to the club members, representatives from each of the football clubs participating in the Manawatu Rugby Union’s competition will be present and at a suitable juncture the trophies won throughout the-union will be presented to the respective winners. Last year’s function will be well remembered by all dance patrons, and the function to-night promises to ' surpass all previous efforts. The music will bo provided by a renowned local orchestra and in this respect, the success of the gathering is assured. The installation of amplifiers throughout the ball will prove a novel improvement. A well-organised committee have been working energetically for some time to ensure the success of the function, and patrons will remember to-night’s ball as the outstanding social success of the season.
