LION BITES ACTOR.
MISHAP DURING FILMING. LOS ANGELES, Sept. 23. Mr Charles Bickford, a film actor, was severely bitten by a lion to-day during the photographing of a picture entitled “Easter Raya.” The lion was trained to jump over Mr Bickford’s head, but instead the beast, which weighed 4001 b, struck the actor’ squarely and sank its teeth into the back of liis neck. Air Bickford was quickly rescued and taken to hospital.
