RATANA ON TOUR
A POLITICAL MISSION. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Sept. 24. Orakei Native village was en fete when it received a visit from tbe Afnori leader, AViromu Ratana, accompanied by Air E. T. Tirikntenc, ALP. for Southern ATaori, the Ratana candidates for three other Maori seats, and a large retinue, including a hand. Ratana is making a political tour of the North Island preparatory to the general election. Tlie party is travelling in four largo motor-lorries, each bearing Ratana’s star and crescent badge on its radiator cap, and half a dozen motor-cars. From Orakei the -party will go on to North Auckland, visiting all the principal Native settlements. The date of its return appears to he uncertain.
