VIEWS ON SOCIAL CREDIT POLICY.
Received September 25, 1 p.m. CALGARY, Sept. 24. Because Very Rev. Hewlett Johnson, Dean of Canterbury, has “apparently identified himself with a political party,” Sherman, Anglican Bishop of Calgary, lias refused the chairmanship of Dean Johnson’s Social Credit meeting on Saturday. In an interview in Winnipeg yesterday, Dean Johnson said he was in complete accord with Air Aberhart’s policies and predicted that the Aberhart Party would eventually sweep all Canada. ‘ ‘PROSPERITY BONDS. ’ ’ An Edmonton message says: Air Aberhart, the Premier, announces the issue of an unspecified amount of “prosperity bonds” at an unspecified interest rate, to bo sold to Albertans to pay off outside bonds and debts.
