The chairman referred to the meeting to be held in Palmerston North today under the auspices of the Mana-watu-Oroua Pig Breeders’ Association to discuss the position in regard to the prices of unexportable pigs. Mr Mason said lie was not very fully acquainted with the matter in so far as the marketing of them was concerned, but he intended to attend the meeting to ascertain the facts.
Mr W. L. Grice thought the chairman’s action quite a good one as he could report back on the business of the meeting. He moved that Mr Mason be authorised to support whatever action was taken by the Pig Breeders’ Association in regard to the difference in price between exportable and unexportablc pigs, this being agreed to.
