DOMINION AND LEAGUE OF .NATIONS
Contrary to expectations, the Address-in-Reply debate bad not terminated when tire House of Representatives adjourned yesterday afternoon. However, it is expected to end o.n Tuesday, when the House resumes, and it is likely that the Budget will be brought down on Tuesday nieiit. An interesting discussion on New Zealand’s relationship to the League of Nations and its duty to protect the Covenant arose in the Legislative Council, when a striking speech was made by Hon. W. Perry, who is Dominion president of the Returned Soldiers’ Association. New Zealand, he said, was bound by her obligations under the Covenant.
