EXECUTIVE COMMISSION.
TOUR IN MANAAVATU. DAIRY FACTORIES VISITED. Following upon tlieir conference with Miuiawatu dairy factory delegates oil Wednesday, and the arrangements made for an" economic survey of the district, the Executive Commission of Agriculture, with members of the Dairy Produce Board, commenced a tour or the area yesterday for informal meetings with factory delegates, and to obtain preliminary information which will enable them to appreciate the conditions under which the dairy industry is being carried on in this district. Members of the Executive Commission of Agriculture are Sir Francis Frazer, Messrs D. Jones and G. A. Duncan. Accompanying them is a sub-committee of the Dairy Board, Messrs AV. E. Hale (Hauraki Plains), C. A. Marcliant (Cardiff) and A. Linton (AVairarapa). Yesterday they visited the Kairanga, Tiakitahuna, Manawjitu-Reli-ance, Mangawhata, Rongotea, Bainesse, Oroua Downs, Itangiotu, • Taikorea, Tni, and Makowbai factories. It was proposed to-day to make a round trip of inspection from AVliakarongo, through Ashhurst and Cheltenham, to the Rangitikei factory. It is anticipated that the Commission will leave for AA : ellington to-morrow, and return to the Manawatu later to complete its series of factory visits.
