NAVY'S FASTEST BOAT IS AN “ AMBULANCE." - Twelve boats, known as “crash" boats, are being built for the U.S. Navy. These 45-foot speed craft are fitted as emergency hospitals, which will rush to the aid of 'planes forced down at sea. They are equipped with 12-cylinder engines, which develop 770 h.p., the maximum speed being about 50 miles an hour. The first completed one is seen doing its trials.
