THE REICHSTAG
SURPRISE DECISION. SPECIAL SESSION CALLED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received September 13, 1.30 p.m. NUREMBERG, Sept. 12. The culmination of the Nazi Congress will be a special session of the Reichstag on September 15 to hear a statement from Herr Hitler who is expected to announce further antiSemitic measures and to discuss Germany’s attitude and withdrawal from the League, notice of which expires on October 14. Herr Hitler to-day reviewed 50,000 members of the Labour Service Corps marching in military formation and carrying highly polished shovels. '“You are the first members of my army of compulsory labour, which will continue for centuries until Germany is united,” declared Herr Hitler. Elaborate precautions to guard Herr Hitler include barriers of Black Guards shutting the streets leading to Herr Hitler’s hotel. The decision to assemble the Reichstag was a complete surprise. Officials refuse, to disclose the details of the agenda. Activity in the Embassies and the Foreign Office indicates that foreign affairs will lie the principal business. The Telegraph’s Berlin correspondent expects Herr Hitler to reply to Sir Samuel Hoare’s speech.
