FAILURE OF POWER.
NORTH LONDON SERVICES. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Sept. 10. A large area in North London, including the Ponders End, Tottenham and Edmonton districts, was affected by the explosion of a transformer this afternoon at the Bromsdon Power Station. Hundreds of factories had to close down owing to failure of the current. Tram services were interrupted and traffic lights ceased to operate.
