WOODVILLE, Sept. 11. The general committee of the Woodville Agricultural and Pastoral Association met on Monday. The president (Mr W., 11. Gaisford) was in the chair. A letter was received from the conference of New Zealand A and P. Associations, advising that it had been decided to go into recess. It was further advised that, if deemed necessary, stops would be taken to resuscitate the conference. The Royal Agricultural Society wrote asking for the Woodville Association’s show date, and as the Northern District Council of the society had taken over the compilation of the official list of show judges that names of persons recommended to act as judges be sent to the society. In a further letter, tile society advised that the question of a public risk policy for all affiliated associations was being dealt with, and it was hoped to have something favourable to report on at a later date. The matter of the licensing of sideshowmen was being completed. The New Zealand Meal Producers’ Board forwarded conditions of the 1955-36 competition for fat lambs. Members decided that Woodville district entries close on November 25. The Hawke’s Bay A. and P. Society wrote asking far support at tlieir Royal Show to be held in October. After' discussing the correspondence relative to tl,o Boyal Agricultural Society, the members decided on the motion oi Messrs Bolton and Curry to affiliate with that body. The affiliation fee will ho 1 per cent, of subscriptions received by the association. The secretary reported that since the iast meeting Mrs'S. Mclntosh had passed away, and that he had written to the relatives OH behalf of tile association expressing their condolence. A motion of sympathy was passed. Richards, who is in the Dannevirke Hospital as the rosu.t of an accident sustained several weeks ago. Iho committee decided to forward him a letter, hoping for his speedy recovery.
