The Oliakea Sehoul hockey teams took part in the hockey tournament held at Fcilding on Saturday, and the boys were siucesslul in tlie shield competition. The girls lost possession of the Carl hew Ro.-e , Bowl, being beaten by Tokorangi in the final by a bit over the lino after iwo ; extra spoils bad been played. In I lie first i round tho boys beat Manchester Street B, : 3 —o: and A, 2—l, in the see | Olid round. Playing in the filial, they tie- 1 feated Tokorangi, I—o. D. Ellery scored four goals ami K. Mullins two for <>liakea. The girls were beaten by Tokcraugi by a bit over tbe iinc. L. Sadler scored for Oliakea. Tbe Ladies’ Hockey Club could not muster a full team lu, play Colylon, and so defaulted. j Mrs B. Brown and family are flic guests | of Air A. J. Simpson. Aliss Al.
