VALUES IN LONDON. BUTTER MARKET STEADY RISE IN PRICE. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received August 23, 9.25 a.m. LONDON, Aug. 22. During the past week the butter market in London has displayed a steady tone. On the cheese market a firm tendency has been evident. Current quotations are as follow, those for the previous week being given in parentheses:— Danish, 108 s (10Ss). Choicest salted: New Zealand, 95s (945); Australian, 94s (93s to 945). Unsalted: New Zealand, 104 sto 106 s (105 s); Australian, 100 s to 102 s (101 s). Cheese.—New Zealand: White, 50s (48s 6d); coloured, 49s (47s 6d). Australian : White, 48s (not quoted) ; coloured, 47s (not quoted).
