GAR STORAGE INCREASES. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Aug. 19. A report of the Food Investigation Board of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research shows the growing importance of gas storage for fruit and meat. The twelve ships built or building last year for the Australian and New Zealand meat trade all had special provision for the gas storage of beef in transit, while mail ships having refrigerator equipment are being transformed to the new system. In the case of home-grown fruit, gas storage has increased fourfold in the last three years.
