WOODVILLE SALE AND HORSE FAIR.

Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report a heavy yarding of all classes with a failentry of horses at the Woodville sale. Some extra choice quality fat cattle were submitted and for these competition was keen, with a complete clearance at auction. Dairy cows and heifers of all classes met a good sale, values in this section being considerably higher than has been itlio caso at any of our recent sales. Just an averago lot of horses was submitted, these just meeting with fair competition. A small entry of sheep and pigs sold at late rates. Quotations;—Fat P.A. heifers, £6, £6 ss. £6 Is; fat P.A. cows, £5, £5 ss, £5 10s to £6; dairy bred fat cows, £3 10s. £4. £4 10s to £5; spg. dairy cows, £3, £3 ss, £3 10s, £4, £4 ss. £4 10s to £5; spg. Jersey heifers, £3, £3 10s, £3 lbs, £4, £4 ss, £4 10s to £5 10s; potter cows, 20s, 255, 30s to 355. Horses: Half draughts, all work, £l6, £lB 10s, £2O, £22 10s, £23 to £25; useful farm horses (light), all work, £ls, £l7 10s, £lB to £2O; hacks, £5, £5 10s. £7 to £B.

QUEENSLAND SHEEP. OUTBREAK OF STRANGE DISEASE. A strange disoase which has broken out among sheep in the Warrego (Queensland) district is causing many deaths. Not only thoso in low condition, but fat sheep are also affected, and die in a short time. Sheep which are affected go off their feed for fully two days. The lunge of animals that have been killed when in the last stapes of tho disease were found to be jellified, and have a yellowish colour, which is tinted all through the intestines. Such a disease has never Leon known in the west before, and has old sheep-men puzzled.
