At the residence of Air and Airs J. G. Eliott, last night, the monthly meeting of the Feilding branch of the British Music Society was held, a good attendance of members being present. The programme of items was widely varied and highly entertaining, among the performers being Aiisses Taylor and Armour and Messrs J. and S. Pearce, mixed vocal quartette; Air AI. I’irani, pianoforte solo; Mrs and Aliss Eliott and Aliss N. Hausmann, instrumental

trio; Aliss Taylor, vocal solo; Aliss G. Humphreys, pianoforte solo; Mr (1. Simmons, violin solo; Air J. Pearce, vocal solo; Misses Hausmann and Garrett, ’cello and pianoforte solo. An amusing competition during ail interlude in the programme caused much amusement, a pleasant evening terminating with the serving of supper.
