The annual race f or sailing barges, "which carry merchandise arriving from the ends of the earth to the wharfsides of the Thames, was held on the lower reaches of London’s river on June 25, starting from Lower Hope, near Tilbury, Essex, to the Nore Lightship and back to Gravesend, Kent. The Queen is leading the Sara.
