MAKING STEADY PROGRESS.- Thi s dog is being treated at the S.P.C.A. Blue Cross Hospital, New Lynn, for a broken jaw. The dog's head has been encased in plaster of paris (as shown above), with openings for eyes, ears and nostrils. The mask is made in two halves so that it is easily taken off to allow the patient to be fed and the face massaged. Although the mask is quite light, h is verv sensitive about his appearance and hangs his head in a most dejected fashion.
