TECHNICAL SCHOOL.

The basketball matches played between the A teams of the Masterton and Palmerston North Technical Schools resulted in a win lor the Palmerston North team. In the first half, the game was quick and the passing accurate. The Palmerston North players combined well so that the score at half time was 13 —*0 in •their favour. In the second halt the Mastertou team passed with mole precision than their opponents, and secured live goals in quick succession, bringing the score tip to 13 —11. During the last ten minutes of the game both teams exerted all their energy, but the Palmerston North defence were quick to intercept the ball, so that Masterton secured but two goals more, while the attackers shot with accuracy bringing the filial score, to 19 —13 in Palmerston North's-"favour.* The players in'the Palmerston North team were: Valdah Blundejl (capl.), Joyce Winiatn, Veronica Gillies, Betty Ciiipan, Jean Glasgow. Maureen Bevun, Aline Gardiner, Pat Martin, and Phyllis Body. The emergencies were: Norah Straker, Joan Beattie and Mabel Harvey. The Masterton team comprised : Joan Dixon (captain), Elinor Stubbs. Margaret Palmer, Enid Thompson, Jean Cole, Molly West, Edith Angove. Edna Jones, Edna Smith.
