A COLD NIGHT. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 19. A fairly intense anti-cyclone has advanced on to New Zealand, its course this morning being located west of the North Island. Pressure is still low over south-east Australia. Forecast: Light variable winds, southerly at first and later northerly, and freshening again. Weather: Fine; a cold night with some sharp frosts. Seas smooth to moderate. MANAWATU RIVER GAUGE. Noon.—3ft.
