On Monday night, a general meeting of the Te Ktiwau Primary Schools Rugby Association was held in tbo Taikoroa School, Mr S. G. Parlano presiding 'There wero representatives present from Kopane, Carnarvon, Glen Oroua, Tangimoana, and Taikorca. It was decided to nsk the sub-union to supply all schools with the latest rule-books Tho secretary (All- J. C. Ward) was asked to write 'to Bnincsso and Oroua Downs to see if those schools would contribute to tho jersey fund. In view of Mr J. C. Walker’s resignation from Rongotea School a motion of thanks for his work for school football during liis long rosidcnco in this district was passed. It was agreed that voting at all meetings should bo limited to two votes, per team, irrespective of the number of schools associated with any team. A protest raised by Kopane against the playing of J. Scott in tho Tnikorea-Glcn Oroua team was sustained. The age and weight limits—under 15 years on August 1 and. under 9st7ll> respectively—will bo strictly adhered lo in choosing a represenativo team. Messrs Ward, Warner, and Caughley were appointed selectors for 1935. Several representative games are to he played and in order to select a team a trial match will probably be staged on July 25. Already fixtures have been sought by the Wanganui and Manawatu School representative teams. Wanganui have asked for their match to be played at Sandon on August 10, but . this date has yet to bo confirmed. If it can bo arranged the Te Ivawau school team will also meet Horowhenua and Oroua teams. Last week Taikorca ladies’ basketball team mot Sandon at Taikorca, the game ending in a draw. Tho half-time score was B—4 in Taikorea’s favour, but during Ihe socond spell the Taikorca goalies, although having most of the ball, seemed unable to moot with any success. The schoolgirls on Thursday won by 18 goals to six. On Wednesday the Bulls basketball toam visited ’Taikorca to play a match, the visitors winning by 16 goals to 10. At the conclusion they wero entoi--tained to afternoon tea.
