ART UNION FUNDS
DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 18. It was announced to-day by Sir Alexander Young (Minister of Internal Affairs) that the profits from art union No. 40 (“My Turn of Luck”) have been allocated as follow: —-Relief of distress throughout the Dominion, £5150; Home of Compassion, 'Wellington, £300; Auckland Ladies’ Benevolent Society, £150; total, £SOOO. The Minister explained that the total allocations exceeded the actual profits by approximately £IOO, which had been taken from the reserve fund.
