RACEHORSE KILLED.
COLOSSAL’S END. Tho racehorse Colossal was killed in a traffic accident this week, at liawcra. The horse was being exercised on the road when he broke away. In attempting to cross tho asphalt lie slipped and was struck by a passing motor car, killed outright. Colossal was a four-year-old gelding by Colossus from Autumna, owned by Mr G. E. Harding and trained by T. H. Fryer. He was a failure on the flat, but since he commenced hurdling raced most promisingly. In seven starts he secured two firsts and three thirds. He had been working well recently, and his prospects for the next season had appeared to be extremely bright.
