GREAT JUBILEE CHARITY BALL.

TO-NIGHT AT 3. All arrangements are completed for the great ball to-night. Jt is anticipated that there will be a large attendance of patrons and they are assured that everything possible has been done to make this the greatest ball of the year, and ail evening of interest and pleasure. The dance music will be provided by Godson’s Aces, and amplifiers will be used to convey the strains of harmony to all parts of the dance floor. The decorations are most elaborate, having been carried out under tlie supervision of Mr Claude Dixon, and lie and bis fellow workers have made a wonderful transformation in Hie halls. The lighting effects will bo particularly fine; Mr J. W. Muir, city engineer, and bis staff of experts, have attended to this side of the arrangements. The supper committee as usual are making this important part of the ball something to remember. It will be gorgeous. The dance committee lias its share, in the responsibility, and will soe that dancers will be well catered for. There are other important appointments of the ball which have had the uttention of experts, and everyone who attends will realise the magnitude of the preparations and the excellence of the finished work. Wo can only in conclusion say that the ball is worthy of a record attendance, and indications point to this being assured.
