THE MAORI SIDE.
RECOVERY FROM ILLNESS. Received July 17, 12.5 p.m. BRISBANE, July 17. Mr W. J. Wallace is in charge of the Maoris at Toowoomba, Mr Kmgi Tahiwi remaining in Brisbane to catch up with the tour arrangements. Mr Wallace is delighted with the improvement of the influenza patients. He considers he will field a team on Saturday to beat Queensland. He expressed this view at the civic reception at Toowoomba, and thanked the Queenslanders for the wonderful hospitality extended to the Maoris. The weather is fine for to-day s match and all the business houses are closing at 3 o’clock.
