NEXT QUARTERLY SESSION. ONLY THREE CRIMINAL CASES. His Honour Mr Justice Blair will preside over the next quarterly session of the Supreme Court, which opens at Palmerston North on 'luesday.. 1 here arc three criminal cases ior trial and the calendar is a moderately heavy one, the session being expected to have a duration of at least two weeks. . Three motor collision cases, set down for hearing before the Judge and a jury of twelve, involve claims for damages totalling in all £6,282 12s, some £5,500 of this being of a general nature and £782 12s special. Two civil cases are listed for hearing before the Judge alone. There are six petitions in divorce and three petitions for discharge bankruptcy. Other matters are an application under the Administration Act and an application (in Chambers) under the Trustee Act.
